TRACKING OUR FEARS
A 5 days / 6 nights retreat at Cayla, Aveyron

du 23 au 29 août 2026
Throughout our lives, fear has accompanied our choices, our renunciations, our moments of courage, and our transformations. Some fears have stopped us in our tracks. Others have prompted us to change direction. Some have faded with time, while others continue, even today, to influence the way we live.
During this workshop, we will trace the course of our lives by following the footprints left by our fears, using them as a guiding thread to revisit our personal journey.
We will recapitulate the major stages of our lives—from childhood to the present—asking ourselves:
- What were the dominant fears at each stage of my life?
- Which fears have I inherited from my family?
- Which ones developed through my own life experiences?
- Which fears shaped my decisions?
- Which ones prevented me from moving forward?
- At what moments did I find the courage to overcome them?
- Which fears continue to influence my choices today?
Together, we will encounter the many faces of fear: the fear of death, the fear of failure, the fear of rejection, the fear of ridicule, the fear of being judged, the fear of illness, the fear of others, the fear of not being good enough, the fear of not having enough, and even the fear of fully being ourselves.
Some of these fears originate in our own personal history, while others belong to our family lineage. Each one tells part of the story of who we are and the path we have traveled.
Through this exploration, we will not simply seek to understand our fears—we will seek to understand our lives. Each fear becomes a doorway back to an important chapter of our journey.
They speak to us of the difficult passages we have crossed, the wounds that have shaped us, the decisions we have made, and the paths we have left behind. But they also reveal the inner resources, courage, and strengths we have developed in order to continue moving forward.
Through movement sequences inspired by an ancient Toltec tradition, together with breathwork, symbolic practices, and time immersed in nature, we will revisit these different stages of our lives. These movements will help us reconnect not only with our memories, but also with the energy they still carry, allowing a deeper understanding of our personal story to emerge.
Nature will accompany us throughout this process. The trees, the river, the cliffs, fire, and water will help us gradually release habitual patterns of control and rediscover a simpler, more open, and more vibrant quality of presence.
As we retrace the path we have traveled, we will gradually discover not only the fears that have helped shape who we are, but also the inner resources that enabled us to move through them—and that continue to live within us today.
By the end of the week, the question may no longer be: "How can I overcome my fears?"
but rather: What have my fears taught me about the person I have become?"
