A recapitulation event
The Cycles of Our Lives Through the Tonalpowalli
A 3 days / 4 nights workshop at Cayla

For ancient cultures, time was not seen as a straight line moving from past to future. Time was alive — moving in cycles, in spirals, in great revolutions.
The peoples of ancient Mexico developed a sacred calendar of signs to follow the movement of energy throughout human life. Rooted in the fundamental structure of the universe and intimately connected to the human experience, this calendar became a key for understanding themselves, time, and the cosmos.
Through the Tonalpohualli, they sought to understand the deeper meaning of past events, gain clarity about the forces shaping the present, and perceive the cycles that were emerging in the future.
During this workshop, we will explore the different cycles of our lives through the lens of the Tonalpohualli.
